I made these a couple of weeks ago for my best friend’s baby shower. YUM! So easy and a total crowd pleaser. I stuck a mini spoon in each cup and embellished the cups to match the theme. Thanks for an awesome recipe!

See how I did that? That was me melting into an ocean of peanut butter pie filling.
I know a lot of people don’t love showers, of the gifting variety, but I love babies and I love baby showers. All 3 that I’ve ever been to, anyways. My best friend is having a baby (squee!) so this weekend we threw a little baby shindig for her soon-to-be newborn baby boy.
To honor his precious life, we shot cutesy peanut butter pie shooters, which sounds way more trashy than it was. It was more classy. More like licked desserts out of mini glasses and ate the Oreo crumbs off the floor. And then sniffed candy bars melted into diapers for a prize. Why is that fun?
In my perfect world, I would pay someone to massage my scalp with one of those little head scratcher thingies that looks like a stick with wire legs while I ate, took, shot, inhaled, licked shooters of peanut butter pie filling.
Then I would pay that someone not to tell anyone about how my face smelled like cream cheese, or about the Oreo crumbles in my hair, or about the way I’d intentionally put less filling in each shooter glass so I’d have extra to lick out of the bowl. And on second thought, I wouldn’t pay them, because it would be my perfect world.
Going now.
PrintPeanut Butter Pie Shooters
- Total Time: 40 minutes
- Yield: 20 1x
Description
These peanut butter pie shooters are SO addicting and perfect for parties! They are also extremely easy to make. Serious win!
Ingredients
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 8 ounces cream cheese (can use reduced fat)
- 14 ounce can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream (or whipped cream)
- 16 Oreos, crushed
- 5 tablespoons melted butter
- sea salt for sprinkling (optional)
Instructions
- Beat cream cheese and peanut butter until smooth.
- Add sweetened condensed milk and vanilla and beat until smooth and creamy. Add powdered sugar and beat until the mixture thickens slightly.
- Fold in whipped cream, or add liquid heavy whipping cream and continue to beat until the mixture gets a little bit fluffy. Refrigerate mixture until ready to serve.
- Stir melted butter in with crushed Oreos and press 1 teaspoon crumbs into the bottoms of dessert shooter cups. Pour peanut butter mixture into a plastic baggie, snip the corner, and pipe into the cups (on top of the crumbs). Sprinkle the tops with another 1/2 teaspoon of crumbs. Top with a sprinkle of sea salt for an extra sweet-salty combo. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
Peanut Butter Pie will thicken as it sits in the refrigerator. I actually prefer to eat these after they’ve been in the fridge overnight.

PS. They’re actually called scalp massagers (thanks Goog), and you should get one. You should also get those dessert shooter glasses. I got mine here.
That is such a fun idea for a shower treat, they sound delicious and I’d eat about 10!
I think I did too. Woops.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. You’ve just made my pms week far more tolerable 😉
Haaa!
These are so cute! I love it!
Thanks Katrina. 🙂
What a great idea for a party! I’ve been trying to decide what to do next time my friends come over and I think this may be the answer.
It is perfect for parties! So easy and you can make it ahead of time, too!
You are hilarious. And I think I need to marry you. I want all your food.
Move to the Philippines next year? 🙂
Could these be any more adorable?! I want shooters of pie!
And I want massive bowls of pie. But you’re right – they were pretty cute. 🙂
Is it bad that I would gladly accept these over any alcohol-laden shots?? Just give me a batch of these. I will be happy as a clam. Or just covered in peanut butter and Oreo crumbs, which is pretty much the same thing. YUM.
PB+Oreo is a win. every time.
what a great idea for a shower..it’s easy enough to eat individually and easy to transport! love this! and who doesn’t love peanut butter pie in a shooter?!
They were totally meant for showers. Perfect lady-like dessert food. 😉
These are adorable! What a great idea for showers, it is definitely that time of the year!
Tell me about it! Lots of baby bumps around here. Are you next?? 🙂
I would need more than one of these. Or just serve them in bigger glasses O:-)
Yes! They do actually make bigger shooter glasses but I wanted mine to be skinny and small (so I could eat 3).
I love little mini desserts, and these peanut butter pie shooters sound perfect.
Mini is the way to go!
Oh these would be such a huge hit at any party…they look so good and they are so neat! Getting all that mixture into those glasses without making a total mess of the sides of the shot glasses is harder than it looks…well, for me anyway 🙂
Me, too. But actually the glasses stayed relatively clean… it was ME that got all messy!
Cream cheese + Peanut Butter? Genius. Sheer genius. LOVE this!!
Genius indeed! 😉
i’m throwing a baby shower this summer, and i think these would be perfecto! 🙂
They are the perfect little shower treat!
Aww, I want those little topper things, if that’s what they’re called. I don’t even know anyone in real life having a baby. I just want them. They would make me happy when I’m down. 🙂
And the shooters look amazing and perfectly classy! I like to just eat the pie filling of any pie so this looks good to me.
Ha! Me too. So cute and so cheap at Marshall’s!
Oh man, these kill me. I’m not having a baby or anything, but I could just throw myself a shower and you could bring these? I’d even throw in a scalp massager for good measure!
Scalp massager? I’m in.
These are adorable! In your shower pic, I noticed that some were darker than others. Did you make some plain chocolate and some peanut butter? If so, how did you make them??!
Some just used Nutella instead of peanut butter! They weren’t as thick but still delicious!
This is amazing! They’re so cute…I bet you could do this with a bunch of other types of pie, too!
I know! I actually did a Nutella one and a blueberry cheesecake one too!
These look so good! And of course it had to pop into my email address right when I’ve craving a snack.
I think its snack time for you, Whitney! 🙂
peanut butter pie shooters! so adorable lindsay. And what an adorable treat for a shower! i think i could house about 12 of those. is that bad? 😉
Is it bad that I actually did house 12 of those? 🙂
Ok, those are seriously so cute!!
Thanks Deborah!
Love your clever idea…Sounds so grown up but looks really really innocent and so fun. These shooters are for kids and kids at heart…Love the animal cupcake toppers.
Thanks! I found those animal cupcake toppers at Marshall’s…aren’t they cute?
I have not seen these types at showers, parties and more -great idea.
Thanks Irma!
Stumbled upon your site through FoodGawker – pinned a bunch of your recipes – and then discovered that you’re a fellow Mpls/St. Paul food blogger! Love your site & photography.
Yay! Are you also in Mpls? I’m assuming 🙂 I am going to have to check out your site!
We are doing mini dessert for my sister-in-law’s shower and I have been looking for shooter cups. I just ordered some from the link you posted, thank you! These look delicious.
They’re perfect little reusable cups! Just make sure the spoons you have are slender so they fit in the bottom. 🙂
