It’s the Little Things

Like finding a gym. A real, treadmill-elliptical-yoga-room gym.

Or getting a table.

Or making cookies to break in the new table.

Buying a new mug that holds more coffee and is big enough to wrap my hands around. And wearing an old, comfy high school sports T-shirt from a sport that I didn’t even play while enjoying my new mug. These are the little things.

It’s finding diamond in the rough date spots

and also finding a fig, caramelized onion, and Fontina pizza. Wow.

It’s knowing that my mom is coming to visit soon! Also, remembering the goodness of that cheesy soup with popcorn that she ordered way back when.

It’s watching the sun set from our front window.

These are the little things that make my life happy, and when I’m good at looking for them, they abound. Thank you for your prayers and thoughts and love – we are blessed.

Have a great weekend!

  3. What a lovely read to start my Friday! It truly is the little things. Mine for the day: cinnamon roasted almonds in my cereal + almond milk. It’s just so darn delicious! Also, I adore your coffee mug. I collect fun mugs from travels or craft fairs, because I get to revisit the place I bought it with every sip. Where’d you find yours?

  4. Loved today’s post lindsay! My husband and I are moving to Baltimore in 2 weeks and we will be living in temporary housing until we find a place. I just found out the housing provides DVR AND a gym! So happy about this news! Have a good weekend :)
