Um, hi. This is breakfast level: ridiculous.
And I’m going to try to sell it to you anyways, because what kind of person would I be if I pretended I wasn’t totally digging a waffle stack layered with Nutella, melty marshmallows, toasted coconut, and just a tiny drizzle of organic pancake syrup? A lying person, that’s what.
And I am not about to lie to you. No, friends: I truthfully proclaim that I am totally into this ultra-decadent, over-the-top, Pinterest-circa-2013-esque type situation. No apologies for the smores waffle love that is towering high and bold in a happy pile on that plate over there.
I have recently re-discovered my love for waffles with the purchase of a very cheap waffle maker a few weekends ago. We got at least 18 waffle makers for our wedding, and then I think I was just so overwhelmed that I returned all of them. 7 years later, I’ve finally come to my senses and we are now making waffles almost every weekend.
And as I’ve started bringing waffles back into my life, I realized that there are, in fact, zero good reasons why a waffle shouldn’t also hold a layer of Nutella and melty marshmallows.
It might seem like overkill to add syrup to this smores waffle escapade, but I found that I wanted just enough of a tiny drizzle to make the whole exterior sort of glow and glimmer. That’s normal, right? Also: I’ve never been one to shy away from overkill when it comes to excessively delicious brunch foods.
If the syrup was overkill, at this point finishing with something else feels even more unnecessary, but you guys, toasted coconut will take you on a magic carpet ride to smores waffle heaven. Do you trust me? It’s a whole new world out there.
It’s toasty and golden and crunchy – and trust me, all that melty-smooshy yum needs some crunch in the mix. It’s a little more earthy, more mellow, and it sort of nails everything to the ground a little bit, making it entirely possible to eat a full blown stack of these breakfast bombs.
Not saying I’ve done it, just saying it COULD be possible. 🤐
This recipe features both the organic honey and organic pancake syrup from Wholesome! And you guys already know I love Wholesome! cause I’ve been working with their products all year and singing their praises like the superfan that I am.
Here’s why Wholesome! is easy to love: as a company, they value fair trade prices for farmers, environmental sustainability, and organic and non-GMO options for consumers. This is a big deal. They are steppin it up for us in the baking aisle.
My all-time favorite thing about them, though? You don’t need to shop at a co-op or any other special store to buy their ethical, quality products because THEY SELL THIS STUFF AT TARGET. ♡ Power shopping made easy.
On the honey front, adding honey to the waffle batter is going to give it the taste of graham crackers — plus, their organic honey is multi-floral and free from any chemical ickyness since the plants surrounding the hives have not been sprayed with pesticides, and the hives themselves have not been treated with antibiotics. It’s organic honey and it’s a beautiful thing.
Alright, guys! It’s Friday and that’s a wrap for this week!
May your coffee mug be full and your pajamas be extra comfy and your cool, fall weekend morning be very smores-y. 👌🏼

Hi Lindsay! I always love your healthy recipes, I do, really, we are mostly healthy eaters here. But I’m not gonna lie, when this popped up on my computer screen, I was swooning. S’mores are all the rage right now and this just hits the spot. We’ve been having campfires every night with my kids and enjoying s’mores, but had to use York Peppermint Patties because I ran out of milk chocolate. I know, gross.
These are just plain evil…and irresistible looking!
This is exactly what I would need just right know!!!
Lindsay, I like your blog!
Thank you!
Alex
i need this in my life!
HEAVENS YES!
Faint worthy (!!!!!!!!)
Thank you, Aladdin, for this magic carpet ride. 🙂 You’re killing me with this recipe! I’m trying to be able to wear a bathing suit for vacation in three weeks, and then you present me with this?! Evil!
Lindsay! I’m a new reader of pinch of yum and just wanted to let you know that I admire you’re work and talent. Already tried 3 or 4 of your recipes and surely not stopping there! Pinch of yum is trully charming!
Lindsay, you slay me. And we do not have a waffle-maker so -> 😩😥😭
What kind of waffle maker do you have? I’ve always resisted but 7 months pregnant and deciding it’s the umpteenth kitchen appliance I “need” in my life.
OMG!!! I am going to have to buy myself a waffle maker asap cause I sooo need these in my life 😍
That is one deliciously naughty treat! will have to make this when I am able to spoil myself. (;
This looks delicious! Can’t wait to try them 🙂
This looks amazing. I’ve been thinking about getting a wafflemaker and I think you’ve just pushed me over the edge!
Every time I made waffles they would stick to the waffle iron so I don’t make them anymore, instead I buy them frozen.
Lindsay! There is absolutely no reason that you should be using a second-hand waffle maker. Get off your duff, drive to Rosedale and buy yourself a Breville (or maybe Breville could give you one and you could give a shameless plug on the blog). We went through 4 waffle makers before my husband said, “Go to W-S and buy a GOOD waffle maker!” And I did, the next day. And the first time he used it (I was working) he texted me it was life changing. No joke. Life changing. Thanks for the recipe. Hubby is getting this in 2 weeks for his birthday breakfast.
This looks amazing!
OH.MY.WOW!! WOOOOWWW!!!! *passes out briefly due to sugar swoon*

These waffles look heavenly. I do not have a sweet tooth, but I am craving a Smores waffle right now. I would top it with a whipped cream though. Yumm!
I usually enjoy pancakes more than waffles but the combination of nutella and mini marshmallows look absolutely amazing. S’mores, nutella, and waffles are extraordinary to begin with and a combination of them looks great!
Hope you enjoy it! 🙂
Waffles are there for keeps!
This is exactly what I would need just right know!!!
Oh. My. Goodness. I am making these this weekend! They look so delicious I just can’t even stop looking at the pictures. Wow! Thank you so much for such a sinfully delicious new recipe.
